Transitioning to ANSWERS Raw Food

Transitioning your animal to ANSWERSTM couldn't be easier or more beneficial to your companion's health. If your pet is already eating a raw diet, no transition time is required. They can go immediately from eating another brand of raw diet or homemade raw diet to eating ANSWERSTM. Be aware because it has a lower vegetable content and fermented nutrition, ANSWERSTM Pet Food is more bioavailable than other brands. This means the calories in the food will be better utilized by your animal and many times, you may end up feeding less of ANSWERSTM Pet Food than you would another food.

If your pet is currently eating a dry kibble diet, it is recommended that you transition them over a three-week period. See chart below for suggested transition. Be aware that changing from a processed diet to a raw diet can result in pets going through a detox. Pets fed a processed diet will have a build up of toxins in the body. Feeding a raw diet will help rid their bodies of the toxins. Common signs of detox are eye and ear discharge, skin eruptions, loose stool, and anal gland discharge. These detox symptoms will be less severe if transitioned over a three-week period, and more severe if you chose to transition faster.
