Balancing the Body with Bach Flowers

Balancing the Body with Bach Flowers

"Everything in Life is Vibration." - Albert Einstein

How profound, true, and fascinating is that statement? According to the Universal Law of Nature, EVERYTHING is vibrating at one speed or another -- from humans to animals, to plants and even rocks. Vibrations are measured by frequency and we interpret them through our senses. Thoughts and emotions are also vibrational.

The word "e-motion" actually breaks down to mean energy in motion, so it's no wonder that our feelings and emotions are energetic. When our frequencies are on a higher level, we feel happy, energetic, and healthy. When they are at a low level, we feel unhappy, tired, and can have varied aches and pains throughout our bodies. In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) there are specific emotions associated with specific organs in our body. Since our emotions affect our entire body, including our immune system, we manifest physical discomforts and/or diseases when our mental state and emotions are out of whack.

All these vibrations within and around us are constantly moving like a roller coaster; up and down, slow and fast, and even upside down! Not only are we affected by them but our companion animals are, too! They feel and share these feelings and emotions as much as we do.

So, when our frequencies are low or off balance, what is one to do? There are multiple holistic and conventional modalities to help put us back on track. I recently learned about a vibrational remedy called Flower Essences.

Rebalancing with Flower Essences

Back in the 1930s Dr. Edward Bach* discovered the initial 38 Flower Essences which we know today as Bach Flowers. The essences of these flowers are extracted and made into a liquid form. He discovered that each flower's essence has properties that match our low frequency of emotions and feelings. Examples of some lower emotional vibrations are fear, uncertainty, lack of interest in the present, loneliness, oversensitivity, despondency, resistance to change, and over concern for others. There are also physical indicators that correspond with them.

When our pets are experiencing any of these out-of-balance emotions and feelings, we can use Flower Essence remedies as a tool to help bring them back into balance. A great example would be the Flower Essence walnut. Walnut will help with over sensitivity caused by the temporary stress of change. This remedy is great to use with rescue animals transitioning into new homes, senior dogs with new puppies, moving into new houses, and divorce or separation in a household. Walnut also gives strength and makes the transitions easier for the cat or dog. We often forget that they too can have emotional upheavals and blockages from a change in their environment.

The best part of working with Flower Essences is that there are NO side effects and they don't interfere with other supplements or conventional modalities. Dr. Bach’s intention was for all living things to have the ability to rebalance ourselves with what Creation has provided us with.

“This system of healing, which has been Divinely revealed unto us, shows that it is our feelings, our cares, our anxieties and such that open the path to the invasion of illness. Thus by treating our fears, our cares, our worries and so on, we not only free ourselves from our illness, but the herbs given unto us by the Grace of the Creator of all, in addition take away our fears and worries, and leave us happier and better in ourselves.”
- Edward Bach, 1933
