Feed Better. Feel Healthier. Live Longer. These three statements all correlate to our health and our pet’s health. For beginners, getting on track to a longer, more fulfilling life means starting with a foundation of eating better. Some folks have already mastered this step to eating better and feel healthier while doing so. Deep in our core, we know that a healthier diet provides longevity for us and our pet.

Feeding Better

Getting our pets on track to a longer life can be as simple as feeding them better. As caregivers, we make the decisions for them. The more educated we become about food and how it affects our health, the better we become at making smarter choices for not only ourselves, but also our pets. We strive to offer your cats and dogs premium pet food and treats options that give the nutrients in the most natural form. Every animal’s needs are different and we understand that an individualized meal and supplement plan is ideal.

Hippocrates said it best, “Let food be thy medicine.”

Being and Feeling Healthier

To feel healthier and to get healthy can sometimes be one in the same thing and other times, they can be very different. We all know that by eating better we tend to feel better. When we cut out processed food from our diet, the brain fog begins to lift and you feel a bit sharper in your day-to-day tasks. If you can notice a difference in how you feel, can you then imagine how this also helps your pet and their health?

To feel healthier, it usually takes some small lifestyle changes and making better choices on a more consistent basis. At times, this is as far as some get due to work or a hectic schedule. But enacting some healthy choices into your lifestyle is always better than not enacting any. Truly getting healthy can take several years because we need to consider the body as a whole: body, mind, and spirit.

Being healthy is a journey within itself. To be complete and whole, we need to look beyond both food and the physical body. It’s not just a state of “getting healthy,” but staying healthy and continuing our journey toward good health. We also need to consider the mental/emotional imbalances that start from birth. Our pets are no different. I have heard the traumatic birth stories from many cat and dog owners. Pets are very much an emotional sponge that will begin to mimic our ailments and personalities if we are emotionally imbalanced.

Living Longer

Once we are able to achieve a portion of feeling better and healthier, we should be able to maximize our longevity here on planet earth. Our end goal is to always live longer. Whether it’s our need to do more until our job here is done, spend quality time with family, or have a focus on helping animals. When we balance our mental and emotional states, we can’t forget about our physical state. This wellness triangle takes time and energy to balance, but once balanced we feel more whole and complete, leading to a longer stay in our physical vessel.

With all of this said it comes down to the very basics of each of you, as your pet’s owner, to find your own truth and what resonates with you and your pet’s needs and decisions. How can you help your animals’ wellness triangle to balance their health in its entirety? We all start at some place in our journey to do better when we know better.

We believe it is our job here at The Pet Beastro to help educate others when they are ready to learn more about doing better for their cats and dogs. We all start as beginners before we become more experienced decision makers.
