What happens when you have life changes within your household? What type of life changes have you experienced - divorce, break-ups, death, new family members, or even a new relationship? Whether difficult or welcome experiences, all of these bring about many changes for your animal as much as they do for you.
Life Changes & Your Pet's Behavior
New smells, new schedules, new energy, new patterns are all getting created. You may be feeling stressed, depressed, anxious, or fearful of these changes as they are happening. When we start having these feelings we can also start feeling overwhelmed and frustrated because it can seem like too much is happening all at once. Then you start to notice your pet's behavior is starting to change along with these life changes and the overwhelm can be exhausting.
What options are there? You start to look for "quick fixes" but are starting to find everything has only a temporary lasting effect. You start to believe that nothing is ever going to help your pet and they will be like this forever, they will never change.
Your pet has an energetic pattern that has been picked up from their experiences, circumstances and also from the energy you as their owner carries around. Your pet feels your anger, stress, and fear and this causes them to start to react on a physical level.
