The Pet Beastro Gives Back To Community

We believe giving is a very important part of The Pet Beastro mission. We do this with great pride all year long with donations for local shelters, sponsoring K-9 officers, planting trees, giving FREE local delivery during the pandemic (Through December 31st, 2020), and starting a neighborhood pet pantry.

Every year, The Pet Beastro contributes back to our communities. We believe giving is a very important part of our ongoing mission. Giving Tuesday is December 1, 2020, and is a worldwide movement that involves many ways to contribute - such as time, money, donations, volunteering - to our community. We believe that giving is important to do more than just one day a year. We have found several ways to give to our community.

Six Ways The Pet Beastro Gives Back All Year Long:

1. Local Community Donations:

We donate money, food, and supplies to several local rescues and nonprofits in Michigan. These donations are based on needs, requests, and availability of products.

2. Recyclable Bag:

We have continued with our bagless initiative saving more plastic bags from going into landfills and our environment. When customers bring in their Pet Beastro reusable bags we offer to donate twenty cents to a local animal rescue. Although it doesn’t sound like much, it adds up over the course of a month or year.

3. Sponsoring K-9 Officers:

We continue to support local canine officers in surrounding communities of Oakland and Macomb Counties. The Pet Beastro offers free food, treats, supplements, naturopathic care, and chiropractic care to many of the working canine officers to keep them healthy and strong.

4. Planting Trees:

In 2020, we also worked with One Tree Planted to plant 2,624 trees into our North American forest to help offset the store and delivery van’s carbon footprint. This initiative was much larger and outside of our immediate community but we also found it equally as important.

5. FREE Local Delivery During Pandemic:

All local delivery fees are waived through December 31st, 2020 so that people don’t have to venture out when they don’t need to. Hopefully, helping to reduce the spread of Covid-19.

6. Neighborhood Pet Pantry:

During the beginning of the pandemic in 2020, there were many pet parents who were struggling with feeding their animals. We had many distributors and manufacturers who helped up with our Neighborhood Pet Pantry to help families feed their cats and dogs.

There are so many different ways you can give back on #GivingTuesday. You can start with simple ways such as making a donation, helping a neighbor, doing something kind, offer a compliment, write a thank you note, write a review of your favorite small business, pay it forward and pick up the tab for someone’s lunch, check on a friend or family member, and so much more. These acts of kindness make the world a better place to live for all of us!
